KLANG: Kpl Mustaghni Tabri, a traffic policeman who was attacked during an operation to curb illegal racing, has died from head injuries.Selangor police chief DCP Datuk Tun Hisan Tun Hamzah (pic) confirmed the death of the 48-year-old policeman at 11.50am on Friday. He also said five policemen, aged between 45 and 51, have been detained in connection with the case."Police investigations revealed that Kons Mustaghni was not hit on the head with a helmet. Instead an object was thrown at him."It is believed that one of the policemen arrested had thrown the object at the victim," DCP Tun Hisan told a news conference here. The policemen were arrested Friday morning at the South Klang police district.
It was earlier reported that Mustaghni was severely injured in the head after a motorcycle carrying two illegal racers (Mat Rempit) crashed into him and the pillion rider hit him on the back of the head with a helmet, during the police operation in Jalan Bunga Raya, Taman Gembira, here, Sunday.
